The Bangor Bay Self catering holiday accommodation is based in the unique and beautiful Splash and High Tide Cottages by the waters edge where the Belfast Lough meets the Irish Sea, views from the rear of the property are magnificent (just have a look at our photo gallery) and we are privileged to have wonderful Guillemots nesting right outside the property.

“Behind the Green Door”

Behind the unassuming green door at 7 Seacliff Rd Bangor awaits a lovely oasis of light and quiet. Offering multiple levels of accommodation- 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 lounges with spectacular views of Belfast Lough, a spacious well equipped kitchen for meal prep and entertainment.

Owners Paul & Gillian were warm and welcoming- wine, fresh cut flowers and chocolates were awaiting our arrival. The immaculate property made our stay delightful and unfortunately short- a week flew by!

We unreservedly recommend Splash Cottage!

We come to Pauls rental every year and enjoy every moment. We could not recommend this place more. When we are here in summer the sun sets almost every night across the sea. The house is beautifully furnished and the location is great. So happy we found this NI gem!

Absolute hidden gem!!  Just perfect !! (Sun 20th October)

Absolutely amazing house to stay at. From the moment we arrived and were greeted with the keys by Jody it just felt like home. The house is exceptionally well looked after and just feels like home. Every room has a spectacular sea view. It’s the perfect house to host a gathering with its huge kitchen diner and family room all on one floor with an open fire to gather round.
Will definitely be returning to Splash cottage soon.
